## A leadership gap covered with confidence 

In late 2023, a Nordic energy company faced a leadership gap when a member of their management team went on parental leave. To ensure business continuity in the critical role, the company turned to Ferovalo for an [interim solution](https://www.ferovalo.com/interim-solutions).

The energy company needed an interim leader to take charge of sustainability, communications, and staff development. The assignment opening was posted on [Best Best Talent Platform](https://www.bestbesttalentplatform.com/) on the 6th of November, and [BBTP Members](https://www.ferovalo.com/interim-solutions#examples-of-talent) had one week to express their interest.  

Out of all motivated candidates, 3 of the most suitable were chosen for an interview, and in the end, one was chosen for the role: [Pia Virtanen](https://www.ferovalo.com/news/talent-highlight-pia-virtanen). In her application, Pia was able to give concrete examples to highlight her experience in human resources, communications, and strategic development.  

 

## A full-time resource to cover parental leave 

Ferovalo's interim expert hit the ground running at the start of 2024 and provided crucial continuity for the energy company for 18 months.
