## The search for Gainer's next board chair 

<https://gainer.fi/>[Gainer Oy](https://gainer.fi/en/) specializes in effective sales and marketing solutions. Based in Helsinki, Finland, Gainer has been in operation since 1984 and employs about 50 sales and marketing professionals.

In late March of 2026, Riitta Laukkanen — Gainer's Founder and Owner — reached out to Ferovalo for assistance. Gainer was restructuring their board and wanted to find a chair who could take the company into its next era. 

After discussing the role and the desired competencies with our team, Riitta decided to utilise Ferovalo's board service. Through Ferovalo, Gainer was presented with 10 qualified and reference-checked candidates. Riitta interviewed 6, then narrowed them down to 4 for a second interview with the CEO. In the end, their team chose Jaakko Kievari to take the role of Gainer's next Board Chair.
